Yeesh, it’s definitely been a while. Just last night sparked my inspiration to blog again while I was writing my “How we met,” story on my wedding website. Oh wait….let me back up.
Experienced my first Chicago winter
Spoiler warning: It was no big deal. This past winter was mild, or so everyone told me. I wanted tons of snow and sledding! We had about 2-3 big snows but for the most part it was just windy and really chilly. Nothing I couldn’t handle with my new huge parka. I wore this bad boy everywhere.
Went to my first Greenbay Packers game
I would be amiss if I neglected to mention that I went to my first Greenbay game. I was so bundled up, I looked like a toddler whose parents are first taking them out in the winter. I had about six layers on plus foot, hand, and butt warmers. It was a great game! Andy brought his friends up from Miami (those poor souls) and we drove up to Greenbay to watch the game. It’s an experience to go to a football game at Lambeau. I’ve never had to deal with bleacher seats where it’s super hard to find your seat, or if people squeeze in, you could have about 2 inches of spaces total. It was also an experience to go to a game that cold!
Vacationed in Costa Rica
I’ll write up a full review on Costa Rica later, but I’ll tell you that Costa Rica was by far one of my favorite vacations that I’ve had in the past few years. It blew Bahamas, Jamaica, and Mexico out of the water!
Went to a wedding in Jamaica
Andy and I went to his best friend’s wedding in Jamaica. It’s his best friend from high school, and it was great to meet most of his friends from back home. Again, I’ll give more of an update about Jamaica, where to stay, and what excursions we did later.
Saw the River Dyed Green for St. Paddy’s Day
Visited my best friend in Seattle
Friend’s Bachelorette in Nashville
EEEEEEKKKKKK. Obviously this is the big one. If you follow me on social media you’ve probably seen a handful of photos. I’m trying not to be that engaged person, but it’s pretty hard. I will give you the ring picture that I know you are all looking for.
Cool story: Andy knew family friends who are ringmakers and he worked with them to custom design my ring! It’s so gorgeous, but most of all, I’m over the moon that we’re engaged! It almost feels surreal. Did any of you have that same feeling one/two months post engagement?
But let’s be real, what have you all been up to?! That’s the most important part of this post.
