Escaping to a beach in November is pretty dang awesome. While it’s slowly chilling down here in Chicago, it was great to soak up some sun, feel the sand between my toes, and have a quick get away.
Where to Stay in San Diego
There’s tons of places to stay in San Diego. We opted for Mission Beach since it was super walkable, pretty affordable, and was right on the beach. We used AirBnB (referral link) to find a cute 2 bedroom apartment with a rooftop patio, fridge, etc. It was much better than getting a hotel room since we were with another couple and we wanted to get ready for our wedding together, have some drinks together, etc.
Where to Drink in San Diego
There’s tons and tons of breweries that you’ll want to visit during your trip to San Diego. We were actually there during San Diego Brew Week but weren’t able to go to the celebration because of our wedding. Two of the main breweries that we went to and loved were Bay City Brewing and Modern Times. I was in heaven with all the delicious IPAs. You can walk from Bay City to Modern Times, but just a head’s up that it’s a bit of a creepy walk.
You can also head out to Old Town where there’s tons of cute touristy restaurants where you can get some massive margaritas.
Now onto the good stuff:
Also this ASOS dress is the best wedding dress for beaches ever! It was on sale when I got it and now it’s even cheaper. I had a pink shawl that I threw over it for the outside ceremony, then had fun without the shawl for the reception.
Oh and don’t miss the sunset!
