I know it’s been quiet on the homefront lately. I apologize. But mostly, I more apologize for the no notice of the impending silence. It’s been busy, routine, and I haven’t had much inspiration to write lately. I’m falling into a little bit of a routine that I’m working on. I’m trying not to get too routine like I was mentioning the other week, but finding a good balance of a regular every day routine without being perfunctory.
While I listed my Chicago bucket list, I have a feeling most of these will need to be postponed until next year. The weather has dropped into the windy 70s and I fear that it won’t jump back up to 80s and 90s any time soon. But that’s okay, more stuff to do for next summer. Plus, I recently bought these booties and then saw one of my favorite fashion bloggers rocking it a week later, so I just want more reasons to wear them. I think this was the first time I was actually in season with trends (or even a little bit ahead 😉 .
Autumn 2016 Blogging Goals:
Publish at least one post per week – I write in spurts so I can easily crank out 2-4 posts in one week but then schedule them out for the whole month. So to keep you guys in the loop, I want to at least publish one post per week to keep regular. I hate forcing myself to write when I don’t want to, so I think I can atleast get some creativity out with a minimum of one post, right?
Do a fashion shoot – I have a few items that I’d like to share (including said booties) and want to really challenge myself to style a nice outfit and get myself out in front of the camera.
Bring my camera to the restaurants where I eat out – I’ve been really good/bad about going out to eat but not documenting. While it’s good to enjoy the moment and relax, I really want to share them with you all! Plus isn’t that half of what this blog is all about?
Instagram – Stop posting crappy photos. I find myself just posting to keep active and then either hating the photo and deleting it or cursing the day I decided to post it. So I’m only going to stick with good IG photos to not bug me.
Autumn 2016 Personal Goals:
Cleaning out my closet – I’ve actually been slowly doing this for the past month but I’m picking out clothes that aren’t flattering for me (I’m really bad at that) or that don’t fit anymore and I’m going to donate them. I want to start on my closet and finish up my drawers and donate it all.
Buy new Chicago appropriate clothes – I’ve lived off the same crappy clothes for years now. It’s sad how much of a clothes hoarder I am, but recently I’ve been in a fashion mood. I need to buy a winter jacket, waterproof boots, a new waterproof fall jacket, and some warmer long tops (maybe some flannel!) So I’m off to go find some nice stuff.
Exercise at least 3 times per week – Andy and I have been practicing tennis and I’ve been trying to workout during my lunch breaks at work so I want to be consistently exercising at least 3 times per week. It shouldn’t be hard, I just need to make that part of my routine instead of changing into PJs after work and sitting my fat ass on the couch.
