I haven’t received a Stitchfix box in forever! After I moved, I threw away a ton of clothes that I haven’t worn in a year and a lot of those clothes were my summertime clothes. So I’ve been in desperate need for some new stuff. I went a bit crazy with my Pinterest board and was very descriptive with what I wanted, and it really paid off. My stylist, Erin, did great! So here’s what I got. P.S. Sorry the photos are a bit blurry…my camera had a hard time focusing on me with the self-timer. BARE WITH ME (and my couch).
2016 Summer Stitchfix
Dawney Scallop Trim Blouse from 41 Hawthorn $54
Please don’t mind the armpit shot. I thought it helped to show off the scalloped sleves. I’m no Priyanka Chopra. The blouse is a really nice material, is nice and heavy, and matches with my pink pants. One of the biggest challenges that I gave my stylist is that I wanted some tops that would match with my colored pants like this pink one but I also have a purple pair and mint pair.
Valerey Dress $114
My stylist gave me this that I could dress up and wear to weddings and such. However, it was a bit tight on the top (as you can see) which emphasized my not so small waist. I really liked the pattern and the material is very light and flowy which is perfect for summer.
Marci Dress $78
What you can’t see is that there are ruffles on the front. I think I loved this dress the most out of the entire box. It’s flirty, fun, can be dressed up or could be great even for a night out downtown. Again, it is super light but has a sheer lining so it’s not totally see-through.
Cirion Button Front Detail Blouse $64
I thought I would have hated the look of this blouse when it was in the box, but when I put it on, I loved it. It has enough details but without being overpowering. Again, this is a perfect shirt that I can wear to work but also out in the evenings, too.
Toluca Lattice Detail Blouse $58
I’ve been dying to snag one of these cold-shoulder tops since the trend has blown up this summer. I love how flowy the top is and the detailing around the shoulders and neckline is great.
I don’t have a final verdict on any of the items yet, all though I think I know what I’ll choose. Here’s where you come in. Tell me what you think about the pieces that I received. Which should I keep and which should I send back?
Also for fun, we can try to caption the looks I’m making in all of these poses. Which one do you think is me thinking, “Is this damn camera gonna snap already or not?!” Or better yet, can someone buy me a remote for my camera? Sigh.
