So a little less than a month ago, I tested Starla’s DNA with Wisdom Panel. I’ve always been curious what she’s mixed with, even though I knew that she was definitely Cattle Dog mix.
Starla’s doggy DNA test results just came in! Any guesses on what breeds she is? pic.twitter.com/YS4u0K1IDb

So the test results came in and here’s what she is!
I totally get Border Collie and Cattle Dog because her personality is 100% herding dog. She’s super intelligent, very loyal, and high energy. I get the boxer, because her body type is pretty similar with the wide-chest, short hair, floppy ears. It’s the Chow Chow that throws me for a loop. Oh well.
It’s crazy to think that I adopted her almost two whole years ago! Since then, we’ve grown to learn each other better, learn some new tricks, and love each other even more every day. With that being said, her tastes and what she likes have changed a bit. Right now, these are Starla’s four favorite dog products.
Starla is super picky about the toys she plays with. She prefers all plush toys, but as a dog owner, you know how easily those get destroyed. I absolutely love this one because I can play tug-of-war with her (she doesn’t even like rope toys!) without the fear of the snake breaking. It’s sewing is reinforced and this is one tough toy! You can find it at Unleashed.
Okay this one is more for me than Starla. But seriously I’m in love with this thing. I hate huge plastic dangling dispensers that bang up against your wrist while you’re walking your dog. I’ve had many a times where I’ve used a cheap dog bag dispenser and when I pull at one of the dog bags, the whole roll goes flying. This dispenser is literally the best because it is soft, has velcro to wrap around your leash instead of dangling, and has a key pocket! It’s also $5 so who can beat that?

Starla is pretty spoiled with her treats and toys from Chewy each month. With that being said, she now has the biggest collection of all-natural, grain free treats. When I need some more treats you better expect that I have to find all-natural, high quality treats for her. That’s why SpotFarm treats are perfect for her. They are even made with human-grade ingredients! She loves giving a paw or standing up before she gets one of these treats. Her favorite is the chicken filets! You can find it at any local pet store.
Speaking of treats, what’s better than an interactive toy to help them get treats? For Starla this is a lot more fun than being asked to sit and give a paw. She often noses her treat tower over to me when she wants to play with it and get some treats. It’s adorable to see her playing with it.
